Progress on the Work in Progress

"When will your next book come out?" Tens of GLIMPSED fans have asked me.

Well, as you can see from this photo, my vintage typewriter is the bomb but the paper is totally blank. Kidding--that's a stock photo. I don't even drink ladybug tea.

But seriously, can you guys keep a secret? Because the following information is strictly confidential:

- On Monday I sent my agent the finished manuscript for the book I've been working on since LAST summer. I can already hear some of my more diehard fans (I'm looking at you, Christi from Pennsylvania) saying, "How can it take a solid year to write one measly book? We've been waiting forever with nothing to read." To which I say: "Look, I don't mean to be rude, but this is not as easy as it looks. So I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't distract me." (The Man in Black)

- Now we play the waiting game. She may come back to me and say "This is great, now change the whole thing." Or maybe she'll say, "Let's shop this baby around." I'll be honest, I'm really pulling for option 2.

- The next step is for an acquiring editor to fall in love with the book and make me an offer I can't refuse.

- After that, there's about a hundred more hurdles, hoops, and heartbreaks. The title will get changed about four times, no doubt. And then—bippidy-boppidy-boo, your wish is granted—the book arrives on the shelves at your local bookstore.

So, yeah, we've still got a long way to go. But I wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about you, dear readers. I am working hard and doing all the things to get you the next G. F. Miller book.

As a reward for getting all the way to the end of this ramble, here's a "Sabrina" gif with at least three hints about what to expect from the Super Secret Work in Progress:
